For the last twenty years I’ve been intermittently reading 2600 The Hacker Quarterly. This magazine holds a unique place in my heart because it perfectly captures my feelings towards technology. Articles within 2600 are authored by fans of the magazine, and you’ll discover a broad range of topics of interest to hackers. While I’ve enjoyed 2600 over the years, I’ve never submitted an article for publication until now. After six months of waiting, I can finally say that my article Ham Radio, SMS, and the ISS has been published in the Spring 2021 issue of 2600 The Hacker Quarterly.
I’m proud of the article I’ve authored and more importantly I’m inspired to continue submitting articles to 2600. Over the years there has been a few articles about ham radio within 2600, but these articles only scratched the surface of ham radio. I intend to improve that; I’m committing to submit other articles to 2600 over next few months, starting with an article breaking down all of the digital modes used for digital voice communications. Stay tuned for updates and pick up a copy of the Spring 2021 issue of 2600 The Hacker Quarterly if you want to read my article.
